Stage 1: Online Preliminary Exam
100 MCQs for 100 marks, 120 minutes duration, bilingual (Hindi & English) for most sections. This is a screening exam only — marks are not carried forward to the final result. Candidates qualify for the skill test in roughly a 1:15 ratio per category (all candidates tied with the cut-off marks are also included, even beyond the 1:15 ratio).
Stage 2: Hindi Typing Skill Test
50 marks. Candidates must type approx. 350 words of Hindi text in 10 minutes on a computer using the Remington Gail keyboard layout (unrestricted mode). 0.50 marks are deducted per missed word/error and 0.10 marks per use of backspace. Minimum qualifying marks: General/OBC 55%, SC 45%, ST/PwD 40%, EWS 49.5%.
Stage 3: Document Verification
Candidates shortlisted in the skill test must submit application forms with self-attested document copies by a notified date; documents are verified against the eligibility conditions in the notification.
Final Result
Based on skill-test marks and category-wise merit; ties are broken in favour of the older candidate. Selection list and waiting list are published on the MP High Court website.
