Reduce PDF Size Online (to 100 KB, 200 KB or Any Size)

Make a PDF smaller so it fits the upload limit of an application form. Choose your PDF, pick the size you need (for example 200 KB), and download the smaller file. Everything happens on your own phone or computer, so your documents are never uploaded to our server.

1. Choose your PDF
2. Target size (make it smaller than)

To make the file small, each page is saved as a compressed picture. The PDF will look the same, but text can no longer be selected or searched. Keep your original file.

How to reduce the size of a PDF

  1. Tap Choose PDF file and select the PDF you want to make smaller.
  2. Pick the size you need. If the form says “maximum 200 KB”, choose 200 KB. For any other limit, tap Custom and type it in KB.
  3. Tap Reduce PDF size and wait a few seconds while each page is compressed.
  4. Tap Download PDF. Open the downloaded file once and check that it is clear enough to read before you upload it.

Tips

  • Ask for the smallest size you really need. A bigger limit keeps the pages sharper.
  • Scanned pages and photos shrink well. A PDF with many pages and a small limit will look softer, because each page gets only a few KB.
  • If the result is still too big, try a PDF with fewer pages, or remove pages you do not need before reducing it.
  • Always read the official notification for the exact size and format rules before you upload.

Frequently asked questions

Is my PDF uploaded to your server?

No. The PDF is compressed inside your own browser, on your own device. Your file is never sent to us.

Why can I not select the text after reducing?

To reach a small size, each page is turned into a compressed picture. It looks like the original page, but the text is part of the picture. Keep your original PDF if you need the text later.

Will the PDF still be readable?

Yes for normal documents. The tool picks the best quality that still fits your size limit. Very small limits on long PDFs will look softer, so check the downloaded file before you upload it.

It says my PDF is already smaller than the limit. What now?

Your file already fits. You can upload it as it is, or choose a smaller target if you want to shrink it further.

My PDF is password protected. Can I use it?

Not directly. Remove the password first, then choose the file again.

Is it free? Is there a watermark?

It is free, needs no sign-up and adds no watermark.
