How Your SKT Marks Are Counted

Every row in the PDF shows your score twice, and the two numbers confuse a lot of people. Here is what each column is doing.

ComponentDetail
Subject Knowledge Test (SKT)The written subject paper HPSC holds after the screening test. It is marked out of 150.
SKT scaled to 87.5Your 150-mark score converted to a 87.5-mark scale. Multiply your raw score by 87.5 and divide by 150. For example, 99 out of 150 becomes 57.75.
Interview (Viva-Voce)Carries 12.5 marks. Only candidates called for interview have this score, and it was published separately on 01.08.2026.
Total87.5 plus 12.5 equals 100 marks. Final merit was prepared on this 100-mark total.

In short: the written paper decides seven-eighths of your final score, and the interview the rest. The 87.5 column is the one that actually went into the merit list, not the 150 column.

Next Stage

StageDetails
Anything left for candidates? No. This notice announces no further stage, no objection window and no fresh list. It only discloses marks.
Why release marks now?HPSC publishes the roll wise marks of every candidate after a recruitment closes, so applicants can see their own score and verify their standing.
Does this change the result? No. Selections were finalised on 12.08.2026 and 21.08.2026. Seeing a high score here does not add you to the merit list.
If your marks are withheldThe notice gives no procedure. Contact HPSC directly through the helpline or the Commission office in Panchkula.

Score Distribution

HPSC has not published a cut-off with this notice. What it has published is every score, so the spread below is counted directly from the 4,438 declared results.

How to Check Your SKT Marks

  1. Open the HPSC website at hpsc.gov.in.
  2. Go to Examination and then Marks of Subject Knowledge Test for all candidates.
  3. Click the entry dated 29.09.2026 for PGT – Computer Science (Advt. No. 23/2026). The PDF opens directly.
  4. Press Ctrl+F on a computer, or use the search option in your phone’s PDF reader, and type your roll number.
  5. Read both mark columns on your row: the raw score out of 150 and the scaled score out of 87.5. Save or print the page for your records.

Note: the file runs to 85 pages and the last page is a scanned image, so searching may not find roll numbers in the 30001 to 30039 range. Scroll to the end and read that page by eye instead.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not read this list as a fresh result. The selection for Advt. No. 23/2026 closed in August, and a good score here does not reopen it.
  • Do not compare your 150-mark score with somebody else’s 87.5-mark score. Compare the same column, or the gap will look far bigger than it is.
  • Do not assume a blank marks row means zero. A blank row means the marks were withheld, and the reason is printed beside it.
  • Do not search by name. The PDF is arranged by roll number, and several candidates share the same name across the list.
  • If your roll number is in the 30001 to 30039 range, do not conclude you are missing from the list. That last page is a scan and is not searchable.
  • Keep your own copy of the PDF. HPSC moves older notices off the front page, and this one is your record of what you scored.
