How this cut-off marks calculator works
Enter the total number of questions, the marks for each correct answer, the negative marking for each wrong answer, and how many questions you got right and wrong. The calculator gives your raw score, your accuracy, and how many questions you left unattempted. If you add the cut-off marks, it also shows how far above or below the cut-off you are.
Score = (Correct answers x marks per correct answer) – (Wrong answers x negative marks per wrong answer).
Things to remember
- Negative marking differs by exam. Many exams deduct one quarter of the marks for a wrong answer, while others deduct one third or one half. Check your exam notice.
- Cut-off marks are usually different for each category and each post.
- Some exams normalise scores across shifts, so your final score can differ from this raw score.
