How to convert CGPA to percentage

The most common rule, used by CBSE, is to multiply your CGPA by 9.5. For example, a CGPA of 8.2 is about 77.9%. Some universities multiply by 10 or use their own formula, which is why this calculator lets you choose the factor.

Percentage = CGPA x conversion factor. CGPA = Percentage / conversion factor.

Which factor should you use?

Use the formula printed on your mark sheet or given on your university website. If the recruitment notification names a formula, follow the notification. When neither is given, many candidates use the CBSE rule of 9.5. For job applications, the form or notification has the final say.
