Who Should Apply
- Any graduate with basic computer and MS Office knowledge can go for Junior Executive (General). It has 78 posts and asks for no experience.
- Assistant Manager (General) needs a two-year postgraduate degree or PG diploma in any subject and no experience. Finance is different: it asks for 3 years of regular work, and articleship does not count.
- The Technical post wants a B.Tech or BE in agriculture, food or biotechnology. The engineering posts are few: 22 in Civil, 5 in Electrical and 4 in Mechanical.
- This is an all-India cadre, so CWC can post you anywhere in India or outside India, and new joiners may have to spend their first period at field units. It may not suit someone who cannot move.
- You will sign a service bond of two years when you join: Rs 1,00,000 for Assistant Manager and Rs 50,000 for Junior Executive.
Selection Process
| Stage | Details |
|---|---|
| 1. Online test | One 3-hour online test for every post: 202 questions and 230 marks, with each section timed separately. A wrong answer costs one-fourth of the marks for that question. A blank answer costs nothing. |
| 2. Qualifying marks | Subject Knowledge paper (Technical, Finance, Engineering and Junior Executive Technical): 40 percent for UR and 35 percent for OBC, EWS, SC, ST, PwBD and Ex-Servicemen. The Descriptive Test is the same for all posts. You also need a minimum score in each section and in total. |
| 3. Shortlisting | Candidates are called in order of merit. For Assistant Manager the ratio is 1:5 (five called for every post). For Junior Executive it is 1:3. |
| 4. Document verification and interview (Assistant Manager) | Held in Delhi. The interview is for 30 marks. You need 50 percent if you are UR or EWS, 45 percent if OBC and 40 percent if SC, ST, PwBD or Ex-Servicemen. Final score = online test and interview in the ratio 85:15. |
| 5. Document verification (Junior Executive) | Held at the CWC Corporate Office in Delhi. There is no interview. It only checks that you are eligible, and your rank comes from the online test marks. |
| 6. Final list | Ties are broken by age (older candidate first). A wait list of up to 100 percent of the vacancies in each category may be kept. Appointment depends on medical fitness and a probation period. |
The online test has different sections for each post group. Here is the full pattern (questions, marks and time for each section):
| Test | Assistant Manager (General) | Assistant Manager (Technical, Finance, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical) | Junior Executive (Technical) | Junior Executive (General) |

Q means questions and M means marks. The English Language test is in English only. The Reasoning and Computer Aptitude test for Junior Executive is also in English only, and the other tests are in Hindi and English. The notification gives a broad syllabus for the Technical, Finance, Civil, Electrical and Mechanical subject papers, so check it on the official site.
In short: everyone sits one 3-hour online test. Assistant Managers then have an interview worth 15 percent of the final score, while Junior Executives are picked on online test marks alone and document verification only confirms they are eligible.

Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Final-year and final-semester students are not eligible. Your result must be in your hand on 15.11.2026.
- Spell your name exactly as it is on your 10th certificate. You cannot change your details or your category after you complete the registration.
- Do not write your signature or declaration in capital letters, and do not let anyone else write them. Either one makes the application invalid.
- Do not press Back or Refresh while paying. If no e-receipt comes, the payment failed and you must pay again.
- If you send two forms for the same post, only the last completed one is kept and the fee for the other is lost.
- OBC candidates in the creamy layer must choose General as their category, not OBC.
