DMRC is not hiring freshers this time. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation wants 73 experienced Supervisors, Engineers and Senior Engineers for its Jaipur Phase-II project and for Delhi. Only people who work in, or have retired from, a government, Railways, PSU or metro organisation can apply.
There are two ways to apply. On deputation, you work for DMRC for a fixed term and keep drawing your parent department’s pay, plus a deputation allowance. On PRCE (Post Retirement Contractual Engagement), a retired person joins DMRC on a one-year contract that can be extended. There is no online form. You send your application by Speed Post or email so that it reaches DMRC by 04.11.2026.

Pay Level You Must Hold for Each Post
The pay levels below come from the 7th Pay Commission pay matrix, the central government pay grid. CDA scales are the pay grades central government departments use. IDA scales are the ones public sector companies use. Your pay level decides which post you can apply for.
| Post | CDA pay level (7th Pay Commission) | IDA pay scale |
|---|---|---|
| Supervisor-III (Civil/Track, S and T, Environment) | Non-Gazetted Level 9 (Rs 53,100 to 1,67,800) or Level 8 (Rs 47,600 to 1,51,100) | Rs 50,000 to 1,60,000 (non-executive) |
| Supervisor-II (Civil/Track, S and T, Environment) | Level 7 (Rs 44,900 to 1,42,400) | Rs 46,000 to 1,45,000 (non-executive) |
| Supervisor-I (all four departments) | Level 6 (Rs 35,400 to 1,12,400) | Rs 37,000 to 1,15,000, or Rs 40,000 to 1,25,000 (non-executive) |
| Engineer (all four departments) | Level 10 (Rs 56,100 to 1,77,500) or Gazetted Level 9 (Rs 53,100 to 1,67,800) | Executive scale Rs 50,000 to 1,60,000 |
| Senior Engineer (all four departments) | Level 11 (Rs 67,700 to 2,08,700) | Executive scale Rs 60,000 to 1,80,000 (or higher, for PRCE) |
In Architecture, only the Supervisor-I level can apply for the Supervisor post.
So the age limit depends on how you apply. A 58-year-old retired engineer can apply on PRCE but not on deputation, while a 50-year-old serving officer can apply only on deputation.
Selection Process
| Stage | Details |
|---|---|
| 1. Screening | DMRC will put the list of shortlisted candidates on its website in the second week of November 2026 (tentative). Screening follows in the third week of November, offline or online. No letters are sent by post, so keep checking the website. Carry the original copies of your documents. |
| 2. Personal Interview | For both deputation and PRCE candidates. DMRC checks your knowledge, skills, understanding, aptitude and physical fitness. |
| 3. Medical examination (PRCE only) | Executive posts: Executive/Technical category. Supervisor posts: Aye-one (A-1), not below Aye-three (A-3). Supervisor-I in Architecture: Aye-three (A-3). Full details are on the DMRC website. If you fail the medical test, DMRC will not offer you any other job, and its decision is final. |
| 4. Final result | Fourth week of November 2026 (tentative), on the DMRC website. |
In short: there is no written exam. On deputation, the interview decides your selection. On PRCE, you must pass the interview and the medical test.
Salary and Benefits
| Component | Detail |
|---|---|
| Deputation | You keep drawing your parent department’s pay, plus a deputation allowance as the rules allow. |
| PRCE | One fixed (consolidated) monthly amount, based on the pay grade you retired from. See the table below. |
| Limit on PRCE pay | Pay follows your last regular grade, up to the maximum for the post. If you retired from a higher grade, pay is limited to the amount for the post you join. |
| Other benefits | As per DMRC company policy (PRCE). The notification gives no list. |
| Length of deputation | 5 years normally. It can be extended to 7 years in special cases, or until you retire, whichever comes first. |
| Length of PRCE | 1 year at first. DMRC can extend it if it needs you and your work is satisfactory. |
| Place of posting | Jaipur and Delhi NCR for now. DMRC can post or transfer you to any of its offices or project sites in India or abroad. |
PRCE Monthly Pay by Post
| Post | You retired from | Delhi office (per month) | Outstation offices (per month) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Senior Engineer | Level 11, or IDA executive Rs 60,000 to 1,80,000 | Rs 96,600 | Rs 1,06,300 |
| Engineer | Gazetted Level 9 or Level 10, or IDA executive Rs 50,000 to 1,60,000 | Rs 75,200 | Rs 82,700 |
| Supervisor-III | Non-Gazetted Level 9 or Level 8 | Rs 72,600 | Rs 79,900 |
| Supervisor-II | Level 7 | Rs 65,800 | Rs 72,300 |
| Supervisor-I | Level 6 | Rs 56,300 | Rs 61,900 |
In plain terms: on deputation, your pay comes from your own department plus an allowance. On PRCE, you get one fixed monthly amount that depends on your last pay grade, and it cannot go above the figure for the post.

Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Send your application early. DMRC rejects anything that reaches it after 04.11.2026 and takes no responsibility for loss or delay in the post.

- If you are serving, send your application through the Cadre Controlling Authority of your parent organisation. DMRC does not accept advance copies.
- Write the post name on the envelope, and put the advertisement number (235) in the email subject. Both are asked for in the notification.
