Who Should Apply

  • This is one year of training, not a job. When it ends you have no claim to employment at IRCON, and the training cannot be extended.
  • The stipend is paid partly by the Government of India straight into your Aadhaar-linked savings account, so you need a bank account linked to Aadhaar.
  • You will be sent to an IRCON project site or office in one of nine states or regions, depending on where slots are free. IRCON gives no accommodation or meals, so you must arrange your own.
  • It suits fresh passouts only. You must have passed on or after 01.07.2023, have under one year of work or training since, and never have done an apprenticeship before.
  • Do not apply if you cannot post the printed form to Delhi in time. The online form alone is not enough and the application is rejected without the paper copy.

Selection Process

StageDetails
1. ApplicationFill the online form from 16.10.2026 to 05.11.2026, then post the signed printed copy so it reaches Delhi by 17.11.2026. Incomplete forms and mismatched details are rejected.
2. Merit listThere is no interview. A merit list (a ranked list by marks) is made from your marks in the qualifying degree or diploma. Use the percentage on your consolidated mark sheet, without rounding off.
3. CGPA conversionIf your university gives no percentage conversion, 6 on a 10-point scale counts as 60 percent. Other scales are worked out in the same proportion.
4. ShortlistShortlisted candidates are told by email and the list is put on the IRCON website.
5. Document checkShortlisted candidates must bring all original certificates. A false claim cancels the candidature and can lead to prosecution.
6. Medical fitnessYou must give a medical fitness certificate before joining. The format comes with the offer.

In short: there is no exam or interview, so your marks in the qualifying degree or diploma decide whether you are shortlisted.

How to Apply

  1. Register as a Student on the NATS portal (National Apprenticeship Training Scheme) and keep your unique registration number. You cannot apply to IRCON without it.
  2. Open the IRCON website, go to Careers, then HR and Career, then Engagement of Apprentices under Apprentices Act, 1961. A new user creates an account with a personal email and mobile number. Use an email that will stay valid for at least a year.
  3. Log in, read the instructions, and fill in the post, personal, education and experience details. Upload your photo, signature and documents in the sizes shown below.
  4. Preview the form, check every detail and submit it by 05.11.2026. Nothing can be changed after final submission.
  5. Print the form, sign it at the bottom right corner under the declaration, and attach self-attested photocopies of your documents. Post it in an envelope marked Application for the Engagement of Apprentices as per Apprentices Act 1961 – Advt No. A01/2026 to Manager/HRM, IRCON International Limited, C-4, District Centre, Saket, New Delhi-110017. It must reach by 17.11.2026.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Forgetting the printed copy. The online form is not enough, and the candidature is rejected if the signed copy does not reach Delhi by 17.11.2026.
  • Applying before you register on NATS. The notification makes the NATS registration number compulsory.
  • Filling in wrong details. Nothing can be edited after final submission, and a mismatch or a false claim gets the application rejected.
  • Applying when you are not eligible: result awaited, a back paper, an earlier apprenticeship, or a year or more of work or training since your education.
  • Using an old OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) or EWS certificate. It must be issued on or after 01.04.2026.
  • Rounding off your percentage. Write it exactly as it appears on your consolidated mark sheet.
