Stage 1: Written Examination
Total 200 marks across 2 papers (Paper-I & Paper-II), 100 marks/100 MCQs each, Objective Type with OMR evaluation. Duration: 2 hours per paper. Negative marking: 25% of marks deducted for each wrong answer; zero marks for unattempted questions. Paper-I covers General Engineering & Farm Machinery/Power; Paper-II covers Agricultural Processing/Food Engineering & Soil-Water Conservation Engineering (full syllabus in Appendix-A of the notification). Qualifying marks are fixed by the Commission; candidates meeting the cut-off are shortlisted for interview in a ratio of about 1:2 of advertised vacancies per category (minimum 5).
Stage 2: Personality Test / Interview
25 marks. Conducted after document verification of shortlisted candidates.
Final Selection
Merit list prepared category-wise on aggregate marks of Written Examination + Interview (out of 225 marks), equal to the number of vacancies advertised per category. Ties are resolved first by Written Examination marks, then by age (older candidate ranked higher).
