Stage 1 – Shortlisting on GATE 2026 Marks
Initial shortlisting is done purely on the marks obtained out of 100 in the GATE 2026 examination in the corresponding paper. Marks from any previous or other GATE examination are not considered. Where two or more candidates have the same GATE marks, the candidate with higher marks in the essential qualification is placed ahead.
Stage 2 – Group Discussion (GD)
Shortlisted candidates are called for GD in the ratio of 1:5 (5 candidates per post), as per the reservation of posts. Call letters are downloadable from the MRPL website. Candidates called for GD and PI are reimbursed 3AC train fare (or AC bus fare limited to 3AC train fare).
Stage 3 – Personal Interview (PI)
Conducted along with the GD stage. Document verification of originals plus self-attested copies is carried out at the time of the Personal Interview. Candidates employed in Central/State Government, PSEs or autonomous bodies must apply through proper channel or produce an NOC at this stage.
Stage 4 – Final Merit List
The final merit list is prepared as per the prevailing rules of MRPL. Management reserves the right to add, modify or delete any test in the selection process, and to fill or not fill any of the notified positions. A panel of suitable candidates may be created and operated for a period of one year.
Post-Selection Checks
A satisfactory Character & Antecedents report is required. Final appointment of PwBD candidates is subject to medical fitness with respect to the job profile of the identified post.

Sign in with the generated Login ID and Password and fill in the online application form with your educational qualification, category and other required particulars.
On submission of particulars, the system generates an Application ID, which is sent to you by email/SMS.
General, OBC (NCL) and EWS candidates: click “Pay Now”, select payment category “Advt. 94/2026”, pay Rs. 118/- online and save the payment confirmation receipt. Then return to the home page, click “Already Paid”, sign in and submit the SBI e-Collect Reference Number (starting with DU), payment bank name and payment date, and upload the payment receipt in JPG format.
Upload the scanned photograph, signature, GATE 2026 score card and other required documents, then click “Submit”. The message “Application process is completed” will be displayed along with the final application – save a PDF copy for your records.
