Two notes printed with the vacancy table

  • What the asterisk (*) means: an unreserved faculty member is currently working against that reserved-category post. The interview for a starred post will be conducted only if candidates belonging to that reserved category actually turn up.
  • Downgradation is allowed: if no suitable or eligible candidate appears, a candidate eligible for a lower post (Assistant Professor or Associate Professor) may be interviewed against the higher post, and if selected will be appointed to the lower post as per eligibility and the selection board’s recommendation.
  • One figure to verify for yourself: the Associate Professor entries listed department by department add up to 23, while the notification’s own Total row says 22. The post carries the notification’s printed total of 49, but check the official PDF before you build your plans around a specific department’s count.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Reaching the venue after 10:00 AM — the reporting window is only one hour long, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, and there is no second slot.
  • Filling one application form for two or three posts — the advertisement requires a separate application for each post you want to be considered for.
  • Carrying only one Demand Draft — the Rs. 500 fee and the Rs. 20,000 security deposit are two separate drafts, both in favour of “ESI Fund A/c No.1” and payable at Faridabad.
  • Assuming a starred (*) post will definitely be interviewed — those seats are opened only if candidates of that reserved category actually appear on the day.
  • Bringing photocopies that are not self-attested, or leaving the originals at home — only verified candidates are allowed into the interview.
  • Producing an EWS or OBC certificate in a state format — the advertisement specifically requires the proper Government of India format.
  • Budgeting for travel reimbursement — no TA or DA is paid for attending this interview.
