1. NCVT NAC Mark Sheet Evaluation
Marks scored in the National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) exam form the primary basis of merit — carries 80% weightage in the combined merit list. HEF may fix a cut-off percentage on NAC marks to shortlist candidates for the Trade Test.
2. Trade Test / Practical Test
Conducted for candidates shortlisted on NAC marks — carries 20% weightage in the combined merit list; tests practical proficiency in the relevant trade.
3. Merit List Preparation
A combined merit list is prepared using NAC marks (80%) + Trade Test marks (20%). Preference order: (1) Ex-apprentices of AOCP trade trained in Ordnance Factories under MIL, (2) AOCP trade apprentices from DoO(C&S)/other Govt.-affiliated organizations, (3) Tenure Based CPW/DBW candidates holding a 3-month MIL training certificate, (4) other feeder-trade apprentices.
4. Document Verification
Candidates are called in order of merit, limited to the number of vacancies notified (category/discipline-wise); intimation sent only by e-mail. Candidates rejected for non-availability of documents or ineligibility are replaced from the merit list in the same category.
5. Final Engagement & Wait-list
Eligible candidates are engaged as Tenure Based CPW Personnel. A category-wise wait-list is maintained for candidates found ineligible at any stage, or who fail to report within the stipulated period.
