Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not apply for more than one of the three positions — if scrutiny finds multiple applications from the same candidate, all of them are summarily rejected.
  • Do not assume 59.99% will pass as 60% — the notification states plainly that the fraction is not rounded up to the next whole number.
  • Non-Chemical engineering graduates should not apply for Production Manager or Senior Production Manager; those two posts are restricted to the Chemical discipline.
  • Do not count internships, teaching stints, part-time work or summer/winter project traineeship towards the 10 or 14 year experience requirement — only post-qualification experience after the date of declaration of your degree result counts.
  • Register with an email ID and mobile number you will keep for at least a year, because neither can be changed after registration and every communication goes only to them.
  • Verify every entry before you submit — no correction is allowed afterwards, and the fee of Rs. 1,500 plus GST is never refunded.
