Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Applying for more than one post using a single application — apply separately for each post you intend to apply for.
  • Uploading a photo that doesn’t meet the exact specification (JPG/JPEG, ≤40 KB, 95–100 px, white/light background, eyes not covered by dark glasses) — applications where the candidate can’t be clearly identified are treated as invalid.
  • Government/PSU/Autonomous Body employees applying without informing their current employer or without a No Objection Certificate — they will not be allowed to attend the Written Test/Skill Test/PET without it.
  • Providing incorrect or incomplete bank account details — fee refund cannot be processed without correct Name, Account Number and IFSC Code.
  • Submitting duplicate/multiple applications — only the latest application against which the fee was paid within the deadline will be considered.
  • Post No. 802 (Fireman ‘A’) applicants forgetting to attach the PME Certificate in the prescribed Annexure-A format from an eligible Registered Medical Practitioner — this is required with the application itself, not later.
