Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not wait until exam day to download your call letter — the download link closes on 06.09.2026, the same date as the exam.
  • Paste the same photograph you uploaded in the online application form; a different or unrecognizable photo can lead to disqualification, and candidates are advised not to change their appearance until the process is complete.
  • Sign identically everywhere — if your signature on the attendance sheet or call letter does not match the one uploaded, you will be disqualified.
  • Do not carry a mobile phone, wrist watch, calculator or any metallic item into the centre; infringement means cancellation of candidature, a ban from future PNB examinations and a police complaint.
  • Watch the sectional timer — each of the five sections has its own duration, and you must also clear the sectional minimum of 40% (General/EWS) or 35% (Reserved) in every section.
  • Avoid blind guessing: one-fourth of the marks for a question is deducted for each wrong answer.
  • Requests to change the online examination centre are not entertained, so plan your travel to the allotted centre in advance and at your own expense.
