Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not assume a higher-category driving licence covers you — the notification states clearly that no presumption of LMV eligibility or competency will be drawn from any higher category endorsed on your licence.
  • Do not submit the form in a hurry, because all particulars including your category become final on submission and no request for change is entertained afterwards.
  • Do not claim SC/ST/BC reservation if you are domiciled outside Punjab, Haryana or U.T. Chandigarh — such applicants are treated under the General Category and pay the higher fee.
  • Do not upload an old or informal photograph, since the picture must be a recent passport-size photo on a white background and must match the one on your E-Admit Card, or you will be refused entry at the test venue.
  • Do not apply more than once for the same category, as only the latest application will be considered and the earlier fee will not be refunded.
  • Do not wait until 18.09.2026 to register, because the High Court accepts no responsibility for failure to apply due to website load or connectivity problems near the deadline.
