1. Submit documents
Go in person to Special Branch, Bihar between 25.10.2026 and 20.11.2026 with your original certificates and a valid photo ID. If you do not come in this window, your candidature can be cancelled.
2. Medical test
The appointing authority (the Police Superintendent-level officer of Special Branch who will give you the appointment) will get you medically checked as per the Bihar Police Manual, 1978 (Form 103). Eyes, colour blindness, hearing and stammering are also checked. A candidate found medically unfit is not appointed.
3. Character check
Your character and identity will be verified as per the Bihar Police Manual, 1978 (Form 101). An adverse report, or hiding facts, makes you unfit for appointment. A criminal case pending in court, or a conviction, also makes you unfit.
4. Appointment
CSBC has sent the recommended list to the appointing authority, who will appoint the selected candidates.
In short: being on this list is not an appointment letter yet. You still have to submit your documents by 20.11.2026 and clear the medical test and the police character check before you are appointed.
