Selection Process

StageDetails
Stage 1: Online application scrutinyNEEPCO shortlists applications on your marks in the engineering degree, the Diploma in Industrial Safety (or the Industrial Safety / Fire and Safety degree), and your experience. Depending on how many apply, NEEPCO can set cut-off marks and limit how many candidates are called.
Stage 2: Computer-Based Test (CBT)A CBT is an exam you take on a computer. This one has 100 multiple-choice questions of 1 mark each, with 4 options per question, and lasts 2 hours. Every wrong answer costs 0.25 marks. Section 1 is the Subject Knowledge Test on Industrial Safety / Fire and Safety (75 marks). Section 2 is the Executive Aptitude Test (25 marks), covering numerical ability, reading comprehension, reasoning, general awareness and data interpretation. Candidates are called in order of merit.
Stage 3: Personal InterviewShortlisted candidates are asked about general knowledge, aptitude for the job, extra-curricular activities and subject knowledge. The marks for the interview are not given in the notice.
Final: Merit and offerThe offer of appointment goes to suitable candidates in order of merit, as per NEEPCO’s need. If two candidates have the same marks, the older candidate ranks higher. NEEPCO will not answer queries from candidates who are not selected.

In short: you are first picked on your marks and experience, then you take a 2-hour online test, then an interview. The notice does not say how the test marks and interview marks are combined for the final merit list.
