How to Check Your Result

  1. Open the UPSC website, upsc.gov.in, and find “Written Result: Combined Defence Services Examination (II), 2026” under What’s New. You can also use the direct result page.
  2. Open the result PDF. It has 32 pages.
  3. Go to the list for your first-choice course. IMA, INA, AFA, OTA (Men) and OTA (Women) each have their own heading.
  4. Search the list for your 7-digit roll number. On a computer, press Ctrl and F together to search.
  5. If your roll number is there, note every list it appears in. Then follow the steps under Next Stage.

Note: the PDF lists roll numbers only. It does not show marks or a cut-off, which is the lowest score that gets a candidate through.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not send original certificates to UPSC. They go to the Army, Navy or Air Force office for your first choice.
  • Do not miss the date for your originals. The notice says your candidature will then be cancelled.
  • If your first choice is Army and you have already registered on the Army site, do not register a second time.
  • If your address changes, tell the Army, Navy or Air Force headquarters yourself, straight away.
  • Check every course list, not just one. The same roll number can be in more than one list, and OTA (Women) has its own list.
  • Do not treat this as final selection. Your candidature is provisional until your certificates are checked.
