Next Stage — What Happens After the Written Result

| 1. Mandatory Online Updation Window | 07.09.2026 to 21.09.2026 (6:00 PM) on upsconline.nic.in. How to Check Your UPSC CAPF (ACs) Written Result 2026
- Go to the UPSC website at upsc.gov.in and open Examination → Active Examinations → Central Armed Police Forces (ACs) Examination, 2026.
- Open Written Result (with name) for the name-wise list, or Written Result for the roll-number list.
- The roll-number PDF dated 25.08.2026 is text-searchable — press Ctrl+F and type your roll number to find it instantly.
- The name-wise PDF dated 08.09.2026 is a 79-page scanned document, so Ctrl+F will not work on it. Confirm your roll number in the roll-number list first, then scroll to the matching page of the name-wise list to see your name.
- Download and save both PDFs, then move straight on to the updation window — qualifying in the written result alone does not carry you to the PST/PET.
How to Complete the Mandatory Updation Window
- Log in to upsconline.nic.in with your existing UPSC One Time Registration / Common Application Form credentials, between 07.09.2026 and 21.09.2026 (6:00 PM).
- Update your educational qualification status — whether appearing or appeared — and upload proof of passing the requisite qualifying examination.
- Update, wherever applicable, your correspondence and permanent postal address, higher educational qualification, achievements, employment details and service experience, service allocated on the basis of any earlier CAPF (ACs) examination, preference of Forces for this examination, marital status, parental details, debarment information, earlier examination details, OBC/EWS annexure and the socio-economic questionnaire.
- Verify every detail carefully and then finally submit the Online Application Form. Candidates who have nothing to change must still log in and submit.
- Print the submitted Application Form. You have to carry a hard copy of it to the PST/PET, and it is what generates the e-Summon letter / e-Admit Card for the Personality Test.
Note: UPSC has stated that candidates who fail to log in and update within this window will not be allowed to participate in the further stages of the examination, and that no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.

Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Assuming that qualifying in the written result is enough — the updation window is compulsory, and skipping it ends your candidature for this examination.
- Logging in but not clicking the final submit — an incomplete session is treated the same as never logging in at all.
- Believing the window does not apply to you because you have nothing to change; UPSC has said in as many words that such candidates must also log in, verify and finally submit.
- Leaving it to 21.09.2026 — the window closes at 6:00 PM sharp, and portal load is at its heaviest on the last day.
- Forgetting to print the finally submitted Application Form, which you must carry in hard copy to the PST/PET.
