How to Raise an Objection

  1. Open the notice and find the answer key (Annexure A). Look at the column for your own series, because the key gives separate answers for Series A, B, C and D.
  2. Fill a separate Annexure B form for each question you want to object to. If you list more than one question on a single form, only the first one is looked at.
  3. Write your correct answer and what is wrong in the key, and attach a copy of the book or other source that proves it. The form also asks for your demand draft number and date, and your 16 digit account number with IFSC code.
  4. Take the printed forms, proof and demand draft to JKSSB, Muthi, Akhnoor Road, Jammu, or JKSSB, Zamzam Building, Rambagh, Srinagar. Go between 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM on one of the three working days from 22.10.2026.
  5. Wait for the final key. JKSSB will not tell any candidate about their own objection. If an objection is found correct, the key changes for all candidates.

Note: The board will not take objections after the window closes, or by any other mode.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Putting several questions on one form. The notice says only the first question on a form is considered, so use a new form for every question.
  • Sending an objection with no proof. The notice asks for documents that back up your claim, and printed copies only.
  • Forgetting the demand draft. Each question needs Rs 200, and the board asks for the draft number and date on the form.
  • Turning up after the window or sending the objection another way. The board will not accept either.
  • Checking the wrong series. Match the series of your own question paper before you decide an answer is wrong.
  • Trusting the closing date blindly. The notice names only the first day, so confirm the last day with the JKSSB office before you travel.
