KVIC North Zone Young Professional Recruitment 2026 – 10 Posts, Apply by 30.10.2026

Last updated: October 2, 2026 at 3:47 PM

Ten Young Professional posts have opened at the North Zone office of the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), and there is no exam anywhere in the process — a shortlist is drawn from the online applications, and those who make it are called for an interview in October 2026. The catch is the age bar. You must be below 27 years as on 01.10.2026, and the notification sets out no relaxation for any category. Applications close on 30.10.2026.

KVIC calls this number tentative, so the count can move before selection. Note that the essential qualification is the same for all ten posts — a post-graduate degree in a relevant field. The column above is the desirable qualification, which is what gives you an edge when the shortlist is drawn, not a bar to applying.

Eligibility Criteria

CriterionDetail
Educational QualificationA post-graduate degree in a relevant field. The degree must be from an Indian university recognised by the UGC (University Grants Commission, the body that approves Indian universities), a UGC-recognised deemed university, or an AICTE-approved course.
Course typeOnly full-time regular courses count. Distance and part-time qualifications are not considered.
MarksIf your degree shows a CGPA, OGPA or a letter grade instead of a percentage, convert it using your own university’s formula and enter that percentage, to two decimal places. You will have to produce the university’s conversion certificate at document verification.
Age LimitYou must be below 27 years of age as on 01.10.2026.
Check your age eligibility →
Age RelaxationThe notification states no relaxation for any category — not for OBC, SC, ST, PwBD or Ex-Servicemen. The age bar as printed applies to everyone.
ExperienceInternship training is not counted as work experience. Only direct work experience counts, including employment on a fixed-term basis in an organisation.
SkillsGood working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, along with good communication and writing skills.
Serving government staffIf you already work for a government body or a PSU and you are selected, you can only join after your present employer formally relieves you.

So the age rule here is stricter than it looks. On most government notifications an OBC candidate gets three extra years and an SC or ST candidate five — this one gives nobody anything. If you turn 27 on or before 01.10.2026, you are out, whatever your category.

Not sure whether you are within the age limit?
Enter your date of birth and 01.10.2026 as the cut-off date to see instantly whether you are still below 27 on that day. Leave the relaxation box at zero, because this notification allows none.

Selection Process

StageDetails
1. ShortlistingKVIC reads the online applications and draws up a shortlist on the strength of your qualification and your experience. There is no written test, no computer-based test and no skill test at this or any later stage. Only shortlisted candidates are called for the interview.
2. Personal InterviewHeld before a Selection Committee during October 2026. KVIC pays no travel or daily allowance for attending, so the cost of getting there is yours. You must bring a printed copy of your submitted application form and an original photo ID, or you will not be allowed to sit the interview.
3. Final OfferThe engagement is offered on the combined strength of your qualification, your experience and how you do in the interview. KVIC reserves the right to shortlist, to move the interview date or venue, and to cancel the whole process without giving a reason.
4. Document VerificationOriginals are produced at the interview or at joining. If any claim you made turns out to be wrong, your candidature is rejected outright. Selected candidates also have to give integrity certificates from two references who know them, plus a written undertaking that they have no criminal record and no case pending.

In short: nothing you can cram for will help here. Your application is the entire first round, so the 200-word write-up about your experience and the way you enter your qualifications are doing all the work of getting you into the interview room.

Salary and Benefits

ComponentDetail
RemunerationRs 25,000 to Rs 30,000 a month, fixed, decided by your qualification and experience
ConveyanceRs 2,500 to Rs 3,000 a month
Contract periodOne year to begin with. A fresh contract has to be signed for any extension, and performance is assessed before one is given. The maximum extension is two further years.
Leave8 days in a single year of engagement. Unused leave does not carry over to the next year. Saturdays, Sundays and government holidays falling inside a spell of leave are not counted against those 8 days.
Working hoursThe same as regular KVIC employees. Nothing extra is paid for working beyond hours or on holidays.
Tour allowanceFor approved domestic tours only, at the rate applicable to Executive posts at Pay Matrix Level-5 (a government pay grade) at your place of posting.
Other allowancesNone. The notification rules out dearness allowance, accommodation and medical reimbursement.
InsuranceYours to arrange and yours to pay for. KVIC provides no life or health cover.
TaxIncome tax and any other applicable tax is deducted at source before you are paid.
Legal statusYou are not a KVIC staff member. No employer-employee relationship is created, and there is no claim to any benefit, compensation, absorption or regularisation beyond the fixed remuneration.
TerminationEither side can end the contract on one month’s notice.

In plain terms, what is written is what you get — there is no dearness allowance or house rent allowance stacked on top the way there would be in a regular government job, and no medical cover. Treat this as a paid professional stint that can run up to three years, not as a route into permanent government service. The notification says so in as many words.

How to Apply

  1. Before you start, read the eligibility conditions once more and make sure you meet them as on the last date. Keep ready a live email ID and mobile number, your scanned photograph and signature, your 10th certificate, your post-graduation certificate, and a 200-word write-up about your experience.
  2. Go to the KVIC website and open the VACANCIES section, then pick this advertisement. Selecting it takes you to the KVIC online recruitment portal.
  3. Register on the portal with your email ID and mobile number, and create your login. Check both carefully before you confirm — KVIC sends every communication to that email, and it needs to stay active for at least a year.
  4. Log in, open VACANCIES again, choose the recruitment and then the specific post you want, and fill in your personal details, qualifications and experience.
  5. Upload the photograph, signature and certificates in the sizes the form asks for, check every entry once, and submit. Note down the registration number the system gives you and save a copy of the form — you will need to carry a printout to the interview.

Note: applications sent by post or by any other offline route are not accepted, and no documents need to be posted to KVIC. Once you submit finally, you cannot change anything unless KVIC specifically opens a correction window.

Photograph or signature rejected by the upload form?
This form wants a photo of about 200 by 230 pixels in JPG, and a signature of about 140 by 60 pixels, each inside a tight KB range. Resize both to the exact pixel and KB size the form will accept, without having to fiddle with scanner settings.

Documents Required

DocumentFormat / Notes
Passport-size photographJPG or JPEG, 50 KB to 100 KB, about 200 by 230 pixels, scanned at 200 DPI or better. Taken within the last three weeks, in colour, against a light background, looking straight at the camera. Caps, hats and dark glasses are not allowed; religious headwear is, as long as it does not cover the face. Spectacles must not reflect. Use the same photograph throughout the process.
Resize your photo and signature →
SignatureJPG or JPEG, about 140 by 60 pixels. Sign on white paper with a black ink pen and scan only the signature, not the whole sheet. The notification gives two different size limits in two places — 10 KB to 50 KB on one page, 50 KB to 100 KB on another — so go by whatever the upload screen itself asks for. It must be your own signature; a mismatch later can get your candidature rejected.
Date of birth proofMatriculation or 10th certificate. JPG, JPEG or PDF, 50 KB to 1000 KB.
Post-graduation certificateFinal or provisional degree certificate. JPG, JPEG or PDF, 50 KB to 1000 KB.
Experience and other certificatesIssued by the competent authority, clear and legible. JPG, JPEG or PDF, normally up to 1000 KB unless the form says otherwise.
Write-up on your experience200 words, typed into the online application form. Prepare it before you start, not while the form is open.
Photo ID for the interviewOriginal plus a photocopy of any one of Voter ID, driving licence, PAN card, passport or Aadhaar. The name on it must match the name on your application exactly. If you changed your name after marriage, sort this out before you register.
Printed application formCarry a printout of the submitted form to the interview. Without both this and the photo ID you will not be allowed in.
Integrity certificatesFrom two references who know you, required from selected candidates, along with an undertaking that you have no criminal record and no case pending or contemplated against you.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not send more than one application for the same post — KVIC says multiple registrations can get your candidature cancelled without any notice.
  • Check everything before the final submit, because you cannot edit afterwards unless KVIC opens a correction window itself.
  • Do not count an internship as work experience; the notification rules it out, and only direct or fixed-term employment counts.
  • Do not count on age relaxation. None is stated for any category, so a candidate who is 27 on 01.10.2026 is simply not eligible.
  • Make sure the name on your photo ID matches your application exactly — a mismatch means you are turned away at the interview, and this catches out candidates who changed their name after marriage.
  • Budget for your own travel to the interview. KVIC pays no travel or daily allowance for attending it.
