Who Should Apply

  • This is a direct-recruitment government job with a probation period, followed by confirmation. It is not a contract or apprenticeship post.
  • Pick your trade first. You can apply only for the trade your ITI, apprenticeship or experience is in, and each post code needs its own form, fee and posted envelope.
  • You may be posted at Mysuru or at the Hyderabad, Mumbai or Lucknow centres, and CSIR can transfer you to any of its labs in India. Skip this job if you cannot move.
  • Apply only if you can post the signed print-out by 26.11.2026. An online form without the hard copy is rejected.
  • The notification lists a trade test and written papers but no interview. Women pay no fee and are specially encouraged to apply.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not skip the hard copy. An online form without a signed print-out reaching Mysuru by 26.11.2026 is rejected, and late envelopes are not accepted even if the post office was slow.
  • Write your name, date of birth and parents’ names exactly as on your 10th certificate. You cannot change them after you lock the profile.
  • Send a separate form, fee and envelope for each post code if you apply for more than one trade.
  • Claim age relaxation or reservation only where it applies. OBC candidates need a non-creamy layer certificate in the central government format; creamy layer candidates must apply as unreserved.
  • Serving government, PSU or CSIR employees must upload a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer with the online form, or the application is not considered.
  • Apply early. The last date will not be extended if the website fails at the last moment.
