Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not accept a printout on which the bar-code is faint, smudged or missing — the Commission has specifically asked candidates to make sure the bar-code is printed on the downloaded admit card.
  • Do not wait for the admit card to arrive by post or e-mail, because the Commission has confirmed it will not be sent through any separate channel.
  • Do not use the wrong download link — Assistant Boring Technician and Computer Programmer have two different links, and logging in on the wrong one will not show your admit card.
  • Do not carry only a soft copy on your phone — a physical printout along with a photo identity card is what the notice requires at the exam centre.
  • Do not go by the exam-day timing your friends mention — reach the centre by the date and time printed on your own admit card, as the notice makes this mandatory.
  • Do not leave the download to 26 or 27 September, since heavy last-minute traffic on the portal is exactly when candidates get stuck.
