Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Filing one form for two posts. NIT wants a separate application, and a separate fee, for every post.
  • Applying online and stopping there. The printed copy must reach the Registrar by 11.11.2026, 5:30 PM, and NIT does not accept postal delay as an excuse.
  • Attaching an OBC or EWS certificate issued before 01.04.2026. It will not count for reservation.
  • Uploading a disability certificate showing less than 40%. NIT rejects it for the reservation.
  • Applying on deputation without a NOC. If you send only an advance copy, you can sit the tests only if you bring the NOC.
  • Waiting for a call letter. NIT says it will not send any separate message, so check nituk.ac.in for the shortlist.
