  • Each post has a fixed place: one Deputy Registrar in Chennai, one in Bhopal and one Assistant Registrar in Pune. The circular does not say you can choose your city, so apply for the post whose place suits you.
  • If you are an NGT officer in the direct line of promotion to these posts, you are not eligible on deputation.
  • Your department has to forward your application with five years of ACRs (Annual Confidential Reports, the yearly performance reports), a vigilance clearance and an integrity certificate. Give your office enough time to prepare them before 16.11.2026.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Sending the application on your own. The circular says it must go through proper channel, which means through your own department.
  • Missing the date. The form must reach New Delhi on or before 16.11.2026, and late applications are rejected.
  • Leaving out the ACRs for the last five years, the vigilance clearance or the integrity certificate.
  • Leaving the email id blank or the form unsigned. Both are compulsory, and incomplete forms are rejected without notice.
  • Applying when you are in the direct line of promotion to these posts at NGT. Such officers are not eligible on deputation.
  • Forgetting to self-attest your certificates from the 10th class onwards.
