How Candidates Were Shortlisted for DV
| Candidate Group | Basis of Shortlisting |
|---|---|
| CCAA candidates | 2/3rd of the weighted normalized CBT marks plus 1/3rd of the scaled NCVT marks |
| All other candidates | Normalized CBT marks |
Normalized marks are CBT marks adjusted so that candidates who sat different shifts are compared fairly. Scaled NCVT marks are the apprenticeship (NCVT) exam marks brought to the same scale as the CBT. The notice does not explain either term, so these are the usual meanings.
Cut-off Marks for Document Verification
A cut-off is the lowest score that got a candidate shortlisted. These cut-offs are for being called to DV, not for final selection.

Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not treat the DV call as a job offer. The notice says being called for DV gives you no right to appointment.
- Do not wait for a letter by post. The intimation goes by e-mail and SMS, so check both regularly.
- Do not compare your marks with the wrong row. CCAA candidates and Ex-Servicemen have their own cut-offs.
- Do not go to a DV office of your own choice. Your call letter names the office you must attend.
- Download the call letter only from the official RRC/NR website, not from an agent or a forwarded link.
