The notification shows one vacancy against Manager (Human Resource) and one against Manager (Legal), and lists the two together as 2 posts — 1 unreserved and 1 EWS. It does not say which of the two carries the EWS seat. No posts are reserved for SC, ST or OBC candidates in this advertisement, but candidates from those categories can apply against the unreserved seats if they meet the unreserved eligibility. Reservation for persons with benchmark disabilities is horizontal, meaning it sits inside the total rather than adding extra posts.

Post-wise age limit (as on 01.09.2026)

PostMinimum ageMaximum age
General Manager (Information Technology) — deputation—56 years
Deputy General Manager (Human Resource) — deputation—56 years
Deputy General Manager (Company Secretary) — contract33 years55 years
Assistant General Manager (Accounts) — SMG Scale V33 years55 years
Manager (Human Resource) and Manager (Legal) — MMG Scale III25 years35 years

So the two Manager posts are the only realistic option if you are in your late twenties or early thirties — everything above MMG Scale III needs you to be at least 33. And because age is counted on 01.09.2026, someone who turns 36 in October 2026 is still eligible for the Manager posts.

Selection Process

StageDetails
1. Shortlisting of applicationsNHB checks every online application against the eligibility rules and sets its own shortlisting parameters based on qualification, suitability and experience. Meeting the minimum eligibility does not earn you an interview call, and the Bank says its decision on who to call is final with no correspondence entertained.
2. Group Discussion
held only if needed
If a large number of eligible candidates apply, NHB adds a preliminary screening followed by a Group Discussion to cut the list down. This is a shortlisting stage, not a scoring one — it decides who reaches the interview.
3. InterviewThe only stage that carries marks. You have to score at least the minimum qualifying marks in the interview to be considered for the final list at all.
4. Document verification
on the interview day
Originals plus self-attested photocopies of your age proof, photo ID, mark sheets, category certificate, experience certificates and NOC must be produced at the interview. If a required document is missing you are not allowed to sit the interview, and your candidature is dropped from the process.
5. Final merit listPrepared in descending order of interview marks, separately for each post and category. If two candidates land on exactly the same cut-off mark, the older candidate is ranked higher.

In short: there is no written exam and no computer-based test anywhere in this recruitment. Your interview score alone decides the ranking, which means the application form is what gets you into the room — fill in the experience details carefully.

Salary and Benefits

ComponentDetail
Pay scale — Assistant General Manager (SMG Scale V)Rs 1,20,940 – 3360/2 – 1,27,660 – 3680/2 – 1,35,020. Read it as: basic pay starts at Rs 1,20,940 and rises by Rs 3,360 a year for 2 years, then by Rs 3,680 a year for 2 more years, up to Rs 1,35,020.
Pay scale — Manager (MMG Scale III)Rs 85,920 – 2680/5 – 99,320 – 2980/2 – 1,05,280. Basic pay starts at Rs 85,920 and rises by Rs 2,680 a year for 5 years, then by Rs 2,980 a year for 2 more years, up to Rs 1,05,280.
Remuneration — Deputy General Manager (Company Secretary), on contractRs 3.50 lakh a month, consolidated, with housing and conveyance as per entitlement. The contract runs for three years and either side can end it with one month’s notice.
Pay — the two deputation postsThe officer can either keep the salary, perquisites and benefits of their parent organisation plus a deputation allowance, or switch to NHB’s TEG Scale VII or VI pay. NHB follows the IBA pay scale used across public sector banks. The deputation runs for three years, subject to an annual performance review.
AllowancesBank accommodation where available, or leased accommodation, or house rent allowance. Plus reimbursement of medical and hospitalisation expenses, telephone and mobile charges, knowledge allowance, residential furnishing and conveyance allowance, as per eligibility.
Other benefitsHousing loan, vehicle loan, festival advance, leave travel concession, gratuity, leave encashment, and pension cover under the National Pension System regulated by PFRDA.
ProbationAGM and Manager appointees serve one year of active probation from the date of joining, which the Bank can extend at its discretion.
Leave — contractual Company Secretary post12 days of casual leave a calendar year, with no more than 4 taken at once, and 30 days of half-pay sick leave. Neither carries forward to the next year.

In plain terms, a Manager joins on a basic pay of about Rs 85,920 a month and an AGM on about Rs 1.20 lakh. Dearness allowance, house rent allowance and the rest sit on top of the basic, so the amount actually reaching your account in Delhi is meaningfully higher than the scale figure.

  4. Open the Preview tab and check every field, especially the spelling of your name and your father’s or husband’s name against your certificates. Nothing can be changed once you click Complete Registration.
  5. Click Complete Registration, pay the fee online, wait for the e-Receipt to generate, and print both the e-Receipt and the completed application form. If no e-Receipt appears, the payment failed — log in again and repeat it.

No other mode of application is accepted for any post.

The notification gives two different file sizes in two places — 10 to 20 KB in the general guidelines and 20 to 50 KB in the detailed specification, so check pages 19 and 20 of the official PDF before uploading. Use your right thumb if you do not have a left one.
Handwritten declarationWritten by you, in English, on white paper, and not in capital letters. Use a black ink pen: the notification says black ink in two places and black or blue in a third, so black is the safe choice. JPG or JPEG, 800 x 400 pixels at 200 DPI. If you hit a problem with the form, the fee payment or the call letter, NHB’s helpline is 011-39187463 or 011-39187316, open Monday to Friday between 10:00 and 18:00 while the application link is live. Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Your age, degree and experience are all judged as on 01.09.2026, not on the day you apply — a qualification or a year of service completed after that date simply does not count.
  • Once you click Complete Registration nothing can be edited, so read the whole preview first. NHB will not entertain any request to change a detail later.
  • Sign in your normal handwriting, never in capital letters, and write the declaration yourself in English. A capitalised signature or a declaration in another language makes the application invalid.
  • Time worked through an outsourcing vendor, a service provider, a KPO, a BPO or an IT support firm is not counted as experience for any of these posts.
  • Apply once only. If you send several applications, only the latest completed one is kept and the fee paid on the others is forfeited.
  • If you already work for a government body, a PSU or a nationalised bank, start arranging your No Objection Certificate now — you will not be allowed to sit the interview without it.
