Upgradation and downgradation clause: A candidate eligible for a higher post may be interviewed against a lower post and, if selected, may be placed with a temporary upgradation limited to the tenure or until a regular incumbent joins. For Super Speciality departments, where no suitable candidate appears, a candidate eligible for a lower post may be interviewed against a higher post and appointed in the lower post, and the Selection Board may relax the experience criterion.
