Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Completing only Registration Part-I and stopping there — if Part-II is not finished before 12.10.2026, your Part-I registration is cancelled and you lose your candidature entirely.
  • Applying for two posts with a single application — separate applications and a separate Rs. 500 fee are required for each post you want.
  • Applying separately for each location of the same post — that is not needed; one application covers all locations for that post, and you simply fill in your location preference order inside the form.
  • Ignoring the location preference order — a separate merit list is drawn for each location, so the order you enter directly decides which centre you are considered against.
  • Freezing or finally submitting the application before checking every entry — no correction is possible once the data is frozen.
  • Uploading a category certificate in a non-Central-Government format, or leaving it out altogether — the claim for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD/ESM is then not entertained and the candidature is cancelled.
  • Attempting every question because of the marks on offer — there is negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in all papers.
