Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Waiting until 3rd or 4th October to download the admit card — the window opens on 22.09.2026, and last-minute server load or a forgotten password can cost you the exam.
  • Carrying a photo ID whose name spelling does not match the admit card; a mismatch can lead to being denied entry at the centre.
  • Assuming the admit card will arrive by post or email — WBPSC issues only an e-Admit Card that the candidate downloads and prints.
  • Ignoring the reporting time and gate-closing time printed on the admit card; the paper runs from 12:00 Noon to 1:30 p.m., but entry closes well before the paper starts.
  • Not checking the examination centre address in advance — there are 26 centres across West Bengal and yours may be in a different district from where you live.
  • Losing your WBPSC login ID or password; reset it well before 22.09.2026 rather than on the morning of the exam.
