Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not skip the One Time Registration — the application form cannot be opened until the OTR is complete, and finishing the OTR alone is not an application.
  • Fill the registration and the form in English only; forms filled in any other language will not be processed.
  • Check your category, sub-category, date of birth and gender carefully before final submission, because none of these can be changed afterwards even during the correction window.
  • Apply for only one category per subject — boys’ schools or girls’ schools, not both; if you submit more than one, only the last application survives and the rest are cancelled along with their fee.
  • Upload the photograph and signature exactly to the stated size and pixel specification, and accept the declaration — an application without these is rejected outright.
  • Use only a black ball point pen on the OMR sheet; whitener, erasers, blades or any other pen colour will make your answer sheet invalid.
  • Appear only at the centre and in the subject printed on your admit card — appearing anywhere else means your answer sheet is not evaluated at all.
  • Remember the fee is never refunded and cannot be adjusted against another application, so complete the form correctly the first time.
