Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Category, sub-category, date of birth and gender cannot be changed once the application is finally submitted — check every entry carefully at the OTR stage itself.
- Only the date of birth printed on the High School or equivalent certificate is accepted; no other record will be considered as proof of age.
- The fee is never refunded for a defective application and cannot be adjusted against any other application, so complete the form correctly before paying.
- Submitting more than one application cancels all the earlier ones — only the last submitted application is treated as valid.
- Candidates who are not original residents of Uttar Pradesh do not get reservation benefits and are treated as General category, even if they hold a reserved-category certificate from another state.
- A woman candidate’s caste certificate issued on the basis of her husband’s category is not accepted; it must be issued on the basis of her father’s category.
- Use only a black ball point pen on the OMR sheet — whitener, erasers, blades or any stray mark will make the sheet invalid and it will not be evaluated.
