RRC Jaipur Apprentice Recruitment 2026 – 2008 Posts, Apply by 06.11.2026

Last updated: October 2, 2026 at 3:57 PM

North Western Railway has opened 2008 apprentice slots, and every one of them is in Rajasthan: Jaipur, Bikaner, Ajmer and Jodhpur. An apprentice is a trainee who learns a trade on the job under the Apprentices Act 1961, so this is training and not a regular railway job. If you passed Class 10 with at least 50% marks and hold an ITI certificate (a trade course run by an Industrial Training Institute), you can apply online at rrcjaipur.in from 07.10.2026 to 06.11.2026. Selection is on marks alone, with no written exam.

Selection Process

StageDetails
1. Online applicationApply at rrcjaipur.in between 07.10.2026 and 06.11.2026. You pick one unit and one ITI trade.
2. Merit listRRC takes the simple average of your Class 10 percentage (marks in all subjects, at least 50% in aggregate) and your ITI percentage (from your provisional or final certificate). If two candidates tie, the older one ranks higher. If birth dates are also equal, the one who passed Class 10 earlier ranks higher. There is no exam at this stage.
3. Final merit listMade separately for each unit, each trade and each community, with as many names as there are slots, from the highest percentage down. RRC prepares the lists and sends them to the divisions and units. There is no single list for the whole zone.
4. Document verification and medical examHeld at the unit you chose, based on merit, trade and slots. You show your original certificates and a medical fitness certificate (Annexure-IV) signed by a government doctor.
5. Training agreementSelected candidates (or their guardian, if the candidate is a minor) sign a Contract of Apprenticeship with the employer before training starts.

In short: there is no written test. Your rank is the average of your Class 10 and ITI percentages, and you compete only with people who chose the same unit and trade.

Stipend and Training Terms

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Picking a unit that has no slot for your trade. The notice says your application then becomes meaningless, and you cannot change it after you submit.
  • Sending more than one application. The notice says all of them are rejected.
  • Typing your name, father’s name or birth date differently from your Class 10 certificate. A mismatch at verification cancels your candidature.
  • Waiting for the last day. The notice warns that the site can jam, and RRC takes no responsibility if you miss the deadline.
  • Applying while you still wait for your final exam result. You must hold the Class 10 and ITI qualifications on the day you submit.
  • Using an old or unclear photograph. RRC can reject the form if your photo is older than 3 months or does not look like you.
