Vacancy Details
These are the tentative vacancies for each post, split by category. PwBD means Person with Benchmark Disability. PwBD seats are not extra: a candidate chosen against a PwBD seat is counted against the matching SC, ST, OBC, EWS or UR seat. Across all posts the 12 PwBD seats are 9 for locomotor disability, 1 for hearing impairment and 2 under “Others”. The notification marks only the rows with a PwBD seat, so the column below shows the total for each post.

| Category | Relaxation |
|---|---|
| Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) | 5 years |
| OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) | 3 years |
| Women (all categories), only for PGT, TGT, Librarian, PRT and Balvatika Teacher posts | 10 years |
| Regular AEES employees | 5 years (General), 8 years (OBC), 10 years (SC/ST) |
| Central Government employees with 3 years of continuous service in the same or a related cadre | 5 years (General), 8 years (OBC), 10 years (SC/ST) |
| PwBD candidates | 10 years (General), 13 years (OBC-NCL), 15 years (SC/ST). A woman with a disability does not get the women’s relaxation on top. |
| PwBD candidates who are AEES employees | An extra 5 years |
| Ex-Servicemen for Principal and Vice-Principal | 5 years (General), 8 years (OBC), 10 years (SC/ST) |
| Ex-Servicemen for all other posts (after taking away the military service from your age) | 3 years (General), 6 years (OBC), 8 years (SC/ST) |
So an OBC (NCL) candidate applying for a TGT post reserved for OBC can be up to 38 years old (35 plus 3). Only the single highest relaxation applies to you, and SC, ST and OBC relaxation works only for vacancies reserved for that category.
Who Should Apply
- You can be posted anywhere in India. The form asks for your order of preference, but the notification says the first posting can be at any AEES centre and it will not accept a request to change your station.
- These are direct-recruitment posts on government pay levels. You start on probation (a trial period) of two years, which can be extended, and your service can be ended at any time during probation.
- If you do not have a valid CTET certificate, you cannot apply for PRT or for most TGT subjects. PGT, TGT (Computer Science, Art, Physical and Health Education), Librarian, PRT (Music) and Balvatika posts do not ask for it.
- Teachers must be ready to teach a subject topic on a chalk and board in front of a committee after the computer test. Principal and Vice-Principal candidates face an interview instead. Both are held only at AEES, Anushaktinagar, Mumbai.
- If you work for the Government or a PSU, tell your employer before you apply. You will need an original No Objection Certificate (NOC) and vigilance clearance when your documents are checked, or your candidature is cancelled.
Selection Process
| Stage | Details |
|---|---|
| Stage 1 — Computer Based Test (CBT) | A CBT means you answer multiple-choice questions on a computer. Teachers’ posts have 120 questions for 120 marks in 2 hours. Principal and Vice-Principal have 150 questions for 150 marks in 2 hours 30 minutes. There is no negative marking. |
| Shortlisting after the CBT | UR and EWS candidates need 60% or more, and SC, ST, OBC and PwBD candidates need 54% or more. If too few candidates qualify, AEES can lower these marks, but not below 55% (UR, EWS) or 49% (SC, ST, OBC, PwBD). Qualifying does not guarantee a call. |
| Stage 2 — Skill Test (PGT, TGT, Librarian, PRT, PRT Music, Balvatika) | A chalk-and-board teaching test on a topic from your subject, given in front of a committee. It is only qualifying and is marked “Go” or “No Go”. |
| Stage 2 — Interview (Principal and Vice-Principal) | An interview at Mumbai. Final marks are CBT and interview in a 50:50 ratio, and you need at least 60% (UR) or 54% (reserved) in each separately. |
| Select list and waiting list | Teachers marked “Go” are listed in order of CBT marks. The select list equals the number of vacancies, and a waiting list of the same size is valid for one year. |
| Tie-break | Teachers: the older candidate ranks higher, then the higher percentage in the essential qualification. Principal and Vice-Principal: the older candidate, then the higher CBT marks. |
| Medical test | Candidates who receive an offer are medically examined and must be fit for duty. |
In short: you take the computer test first. Teachers then give a teaching demo that is only pass or fail, so the final merit list comes from CBT marks. For Principal and Vice-Principal, CBT and interview marks count equally.

Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Applying for more than one subject within PGT, or within TGT. The form allows only one in each, and extra applications can be cancelled with the fee lost.
- Waiting for the last day. AEES says it is not responsible for internet or connection problems at your end.
- Spelling your name, parents’ names or date of birth differently from your Class 10 certificate, or picking the wrong category. AEES will not change a category after the exam or at the interview.
- Not downloading the confirmation page. An application without it is treated as incomplete and rejected.
- Scanning documents with a phone camera or a scanning app. The notification asks for a proper scanner and says applications may be rejected otherwise.
- Using an old OBC (NCL) certificate. It must be issued between 01.04.2026 and the date you join.
