StageDetails
Medical examinationThe appointing authority holds it. The notice says this result depends on passing it.
Certificate and character checksYour educational qualification, reservation certificates and character verification are checked. The selection is subject to these checks.
Normalised scoresThe board will show each candidate’s own normalised score on its website in the 3rd and 4th week of November 2026. A separate notice will explain how to see it.
Joining and training datesNot specified in notification

In short: your written-exam marks decided your rank, and the PET (a running test, only pass or fail) did not add marks. A selected name is not a final appointment yet, because the medical test and the checks still have to be cleared.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not treat this result as an appointment letter. The notice says the selection depends on the medical test, your certificates and the character check.
  • Check the list of your own cadre. A candidate from the Mounted Police list will not find a name in the Jail Warder list.
  • Keep your reservation and education certificates ready and make sure the details match your application form.
  • Do not wait for a mail about your normalised score. The board will publish it on its website in the 3rd and 4th week of November 2026 and will issue a separate notice.
  • The board says it is not responsible for technical errors in the lists. If you see a mistake in your details, check the official notice before you act.
