The project is called Design and Development of Edge-AI Enabled Multimodal Smart Health Monitoring System for Early Anomaly Detection. Put simply, the team is building a device that reads heart signals (ECG), pulse (PPG) and body movement (IMU) along with temperature, and uses small AI models running on the device itself (this is what “Edge-AI” means) to spot early signs that something is wrong. The work is sponsored by I-DAPT HUB FOUNDATION (project sanction number I-DAPT/IIT (BHU)/2025-26/Project Sanction/37). The Principal Investigators, meaning the lead faculty who run the project, are Dr. Anjali and Dr. Mahendra Kumar Shukla.

Eligibility Criteria
| Criterion | Detail |
|---|---|
| Educational Qualification (must have) | B.Tech, either pursuing or already completed, in any area related to the project |
| Good to have (not compulsory) | Earlier work in machine learning, such as anomaly detection, especially where you built your own datasets. Or projects using Raspberry Pi and Arduino (small, low-cost circuit boards used to build electronics projects) |
| Place of stay | You must be stationed at Gwalior. The notice says only such candidates will be considered |
| Age Limit | Not specified in notification |
| Number of seats | 5. The institute may not fill all of them |
So the one thing that can rule you out quickly is where you live: if you are not in Gwalior, the notice says you will not be considered, however strong your CV is.
Who Should Apply
- This is a short, paid research internship, not a regular government job. It runs for 6 months at first, and the notice does not promise a job at the end.
- It suits a B.Tech student or graduate who already lives in or near Gwalior, because you must meet the project heads in person at least once a week.
- It suits you better if you have worked with machine learning, Raspberry Pi or Arduino, since the notice lists these as good to have.
- Think twice if you need help with rent or a bigger stipend. There is no house rent, hostel or food allowance, and no travel money even for the interview.
- Only 5 seats are open, and the institute can leave some empty, so a short, clear CV matters.
Selection Process
| Stage | Details |
|---|---|
| Stage 1: Apply | Fill the Google Form and upload your detailed CV by 12.11.2026 |
| Stage 2: Shortlisting | The institute shortlists candidates from the forms. The notice does not say how, and it states no marks or cut-off. Only shortlisted candidates are told the interview date by email |
| Stage 3: Interview | In person (offline) at ABV-IIITM Gwalior. No TA/DA (travel and daily allowance), travel or accommodation support will be given |
In short: this notice mentions no written exam. Your CV decides whether you get an interview, so make sure your CGPA, projects and any internship are easy to find in it.
Stipend and Terms
| Component | Detail |
|---|---|
| Monthly stipend | Up to Rs 5,000. A stipend is a fixed monthly payment for trainees. Here it depends on sending monthly progress reports and meeting monthly targets |
| Duration | 6 months at first. It can be extended up to 12 months or until the project ends, whichever is earlier, if funds are available |
| Other allowances | None. No HRA (house rent allowance), hostel, food or any other allowance except the stipend |
| Place of work | ABV-IIITM Gwalior. You must meet the investigators in person at least once a week |
| Project sponsor | I-DAPT HUB FOUNDATION |
In plain terms, Rs 5,000 is the most you can get, not a promise, and it is the only money on offer. If you do not already live in Gwalior, rent and food come out of your own pocket.
