The project is called Design and Development of Edge-AI Enabled Multimodal Smart Health Monitoring System for Early Anomaly Detection. Put simply, the team is building a device that reads heart signals (ECG), pulse (PPG) and body movement (IMU) along with temperature, and uses small AI models running on the device itself (this is what “Edge-AI” means) to spot early signs that something is wrong. The work is sponsored by I-DAPT HUB FOUNDATION (project sanction number I-DAPT/IIT (BHU)/2025-26/Project Sanction/37). The Principal Investigators, meaning the lead faculty who run the project, are Dr. Anjali and Dr. Mahendra Kumar Shukla.

Eligibility Criteria

CriterionDetail
Educational Qualification (must have)B.Tech, either pursuing or already completed, in any area related to the project
Good to have (not compulsory)Earlier work in machine learning, such as anomaly detection, especially where you built your own datasets. Or projects using Raspberry Pi and Arduino (small, low-cost circuit boards used to build electronics projects)
Place of stayYou must be stationed at Gwalior. The notice says only such candidates will be considered
Age LimitNot specified in notification
Number of seats5. The institute may not fill all of them

So the one thing that can rule you out quickly is where you live: if you are not in Gwalior, the notice says you will not be considered, however strong your CV is.

Who Should Apply

  • This is a short, paid research internship, not a regular government job. It runs for 6 months at first, and the notice does not promise a job at the end.
  • It suits a B.Tech student or graduate who already lives in or near Gwalior, because you must meet the project heads in person at least once a week.
  • It suits you better if you have worked with machine learning, Raspberry Pi or Arduino, since the notice lists these as good to have.
  • Think twice if you need help with rent or a bigger stipend. There is no house rent, hostel or food allowance, and no travel money even for the interview.
  • Only 5 seats are open, and the institute can leave some empty, so a short, clear CV matters.

Selection Process
