Cut-off Ranks

MHSRB has published cut-off ranks, not cut-off marks, for this recruitment. The figure shown against each category is the rank of the last candidate selected in that category and zone — so if your rank in the Final Merit List is equal to or better (lower) than the number below, you are within the cut-off. A dash (–) means no post was available or no candidate was selected in that category and zone. The zones are Multi Zone I and Multi Zone II, the two multi-zonal units into which Telangana is divided for this recruitment.

Next Stage

This is a provisional selection list. Being named on it does not by itself create a right to appointment. The Board has attached the following conditions to every selection:

StageDetails
1. Character and antecedents verificationA name in the selection list confers no right to appointment unless the appointing authority is satisfied that the candidate is suitable in all respects, having regard to character and antecedents.
2. Medical fitnessThe candidate must be found physically and mentally fit for the post.
3. Production of original certificatesThe candidate must produce the original certificates required under the rules and the notification.
4. Weightage reviewWeightage marks for experience are not admissible to candidates already working on a regular basis with the State Government as CAS (Specialist) in the same speciality. Any such candidate selected after availing weightage points will have their candidature cancelled.
5. Appointment ordersIssued by the appointing authority once the above are cleared. No separate date has been announced in this notification.
Standing conditionsSelection can be cancelled at any stage if false information or any act of omission or commission comes to the Board’s notice. All selections are subject to the final outcome of Writ Petitions and other cases pending before the Courts.

How to Check Your Result

  1. Open the official MHSRB website at mhsrb.telangana.gov.in.
  2. On the home page, find the notification dated 16 September 2026 titled “CAS Specialist Recruitment – Selection Notifications” and click it.
  3. The 34-page PDF opens. Scroll to the web notice for your speciality — the 10 specialities appear in this order: Ophthalmology, E.N.T., Pathology, Dermatology, Psychiatry, Pulmonary Medicine, Forensic Medicine, Hospital Administration, Bio Chemistry, Microbiology.
  4. Under “List of Provisionally Selected Candidates”, find your zone (Multi Zone I or Multi Zone II) and your category, then search for your Application ID using Ctrl+F. The list is arranged by Application ID and name, not by rank.
  5. To see your rank, open the separate Final Merit List (FML) link dated 16 September 2026 on the same home page, then compare your rank against the cut-off rank for your category and zone in the table above.

Note: The selection notification does not require any login, roll number or password. Anyone can open and read the PDF.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not read the published figures as cut-off marks — MHSRB has released cut-off ranks, so a lower number is better, not worse.
  • Check the correct multi-zone before comparing your rank; the cut-off for the same category can differ sharply between Multi Zone I and Multi Zone II.
  • Do not treat this list as a final appointment order — it is provisional and still subject to character verification, medical fitness and production of original certificates.
  • If you are already working on a regular basis as a CAS (Specialist) with the State Government in the same speciality, weightage marks for experience do not apply to you, and a selection obtained using them will be cancelled.
  • Keep your Application ID, rank and a downloaded copy of both the selection notification and the Final Merit List safe until your appointment order is issued.
  • A blank against your category does not always mean you were rejected — in several specialities posts went unfilled because no eligible candidate was available in that category at all.
