Who Should Apply

  • These are regular posts, not contract jobs, at Functional Pay Levels 1 to 6.
  • Only the Steno-typist post asks for no work experience. The other six ask for 2 to 8 years, and the years count only after you earned the required qualification.
  • Class 10 and Class 12 pass candidates have options. Hostel Attendant needs Class 12, while Plumber, Restorer and Carpenter need Class 10. Plumber and Carpenter also need an ITI certificate.
  • The whole process is on paper. If you live far from Palwal, send your form early, because a form that arrives after 5:00 PM on 26.11.2026 is rejected even if the post office caused the delay.
  • If you belong to a reserved category of Haryana, only the Assistant post has a reserved seat. For the other posts you can still apply as General if you meet the General conditions, and you keep only the fee concession, so attach a copy of your caste certificate.

Selection Process

StageDetails
1. Written test (all posts)50 marks. You must score at least 40% (General) or 38% (DSC, OSC, BCA, BCB and PwBD) to qualify.
2. Skill test (all posts except Steno-typist)50 marks. The same minimum applies: 40% for General and 38% for the reserved groups above. The final merit list is made from both tests.
2. Skill test (Steno-typist)A stenography (shorthand) test for those who pass the written test. It is qualifying only, so its marks are not added. The final selection is made on the merit of the written test.
3. Eligibility check and documentsThose who clear the tests are checked for eligibility and document verification. Bring all original documents if you are called. Candidates found ineligible are not informed.
Interview (unclear)Point 26 of the instructions says shortlisted candidates will be called for interview, but the marks scheme (Annexure-B) lists only the written and skill tests. Watch the university website.
Other rulesThe university may limit the number of shortlisted candidates. Meeting the minimum qualification does not guarantee a call. No TA/DA is paid for any test or interview. The test structure and syllabus will be put on the university website later.

In short: you clear a 50-mark written test and then a 50-mark skill test, and both count towards your rank. The exception is Steno-typist, where the stenography test is only pass or fail and the written test decides the rank.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Sending the form late. Anything received after 5:00 PM on 26.11.2026 is rejected, for any reason, including postal delay.
  • Forgetting to sign each page. The notice says every page of the form must be signed.
  • Leaving out the payment slip or the self-attested copies. The notice says such applications will not be considered.
  • Using a caste certificate that does not follow the Haryana notification of 13.11.2024. The reservation is refused and the application is rejected.
  • Sending an experience certificate with no designation, pay level or salary proof. Experience before you earned the required qualification is not counted.
  • Changing your mobile number or email ID before the process ends. The university sends updates there and is not responsible if they are not delivered.
