Educational Qualification
As per National Medical Commission (NMC, erstwhile MCI) guidelines for the respective teaching post and department. Candidates must hold MBBS along with the prescribed postgraduate degree (MD / MS / DNB / PG Diploma as applicable).

Age Relaxation
As per the prevailing norms of the Government of India. The notification does not print a category-wise relaxation table; reservation and age relaxation will be as per Central Government Rules.
Maximum Tenure Age
Engagement of teaching faculty will continue only up to 70 years of age, provided other rules and regulations are satisfied.
Medical Registration
Valid and updated registration with NMC / MCI / Maharashtra Medical Council or the relevant State Medical Council is mandatory before joining.
Senior Resident Restriction
Candidates who have already completed 3 years as Senior Resident under the Central Residency Scheme are not eligible for the Senior Resident (3 Year) posts.
Application Restriction
A candidate can apply for only one post at a time, except for Emergency Medicine and ICU specialities, where separate application forms must be submitted.

2. Scrutiny of applications
Applications submitted on the day of the walk-in are scrutinised by the authorised officers or the scrutiny committee. Only eligible candidates are allowed to appear before the Selection Committee. Incomplete or incorrectly formatted applications will be rejected.
3. Screening test (conditional)
If the number of applicants is large, the hospital may introduce shortlisting criteria including a screening test, at its own discretion. This stage is not held in every department.
4. Walk-in interview
Selection is based purely on performance in the interview before the Selection Board. Permission to attend is provisional and subject to verification of eligibility and documents. The decision of the Recruiting Authority of the ESIC Hospital is final and binding, and no further correspondence is entertained.
5. Result and offer of appointment
Results are published on the official ESIC websites. Selected candidates must join within 7 days from the date of the Offer of Appointment. A waiting list is maintained and remains valid until the next recruitment process or until approved by the Dean, whichever is earlier.
6. Medical fitness and joining
Selection is subject to medical fitness. A written acceptance or consent must be submitted before the medical examination. A contract agreement on Rs. 500 stamp paper (purchased by the candidate) is signed at joining, along with a Rs. 20,000 refundable security deposit.

Allowances included
The consolidated remuneration is inclusive of NPA, DA, HRA and TA plus DA thereon, as admissible.
Revision of pay
Remuneration is revised automatically whenever the rate of Dearness Allowance is revised, effective from the date of the Government order. Arrears for retrospective revision are not admissible.

Contractual doctors are eligible for leave as per ESIC guidelines.
