Who Should Apply
- System Engineer needs 5 to 8 years of work experience depending on your degree, and Maintenance Engineer (Junior) needs 5 years, so recent graduates cannot apply for these two posts.

- AC Operator needs an ITI plus 2 years of experience, and Workshop Attendant needs a 10th pass plus an ITI and 1 year in the trade.
- The Group C posts are filled on a regular basis, and BHU says all posts may be filled by direct recruitment.
- Your application is complete only after the printed copy with your documents is submitted by 30.11.2026, so plan for postal time if you live far from Varanasi.
Selection Process
| Stage | Details |
|---|---|
| Screening of applications (only if BHU decides) | BHU may set up a screening committee to shortlist applicants, for example by higher qualification or more experience, depending on how many apply. |
| Written test | BHU will hold a written test. The syllabus and pattern will be announced later. |
| Skill test | BHU will also hold a skill test, a test of the practical skills the job needs. The notice gives no details yet. |
| Original document check | Shortlisted candidates for each post are called to show their original documents. |
| Extra marks for BHU’s own staff (Group C posts) | Daily-wage or contract staff of BHU get 4% marks for each year of service (at least 240 days a year), up to 20% in each part of the test, if they meet the eligibility rules. |
In short: there will be a written test and a skill test, but the notice does not say how many marks each carries or how the final merit list is made. BHU will announce the syllabus later, so keep an eye on the official page.
