| Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer) | 3 years |
| Ex-servicemen and commissioned officers (including Emergency Commissioned Officers and Short Service Commissioned Officers) with at least 5 years of military service, released on completion of assignment and not on dismissal, misconduct, inefficiency or disability caused by service | OBC – 8 years; SC/ST – 10 years |
| Persons affected by the 1984 riots | 5 years |
SC, ST and OBC relaxation can be added to only one of the other categories above. The notification also says relaxation applies as per the reservation seats each post has for your category.
In short, the extra years count only for a post that has a seat for your category, so check the reservation table before you pick a post. For example, an SC candidate can be up to 39 for Manager – Digital Fraud (limit 34 plus 5 years).
Who Should Apply
- This drive is open only to SC, ST and OBC candidates. OBC candidates must be in the non-creamy layer (the family-income test that decides who gets OBC benefits), and their caste must be on the Central List.
- These are experience jobs, not fresher posts. Work of less than six months with one employer does not count unless it is your current job, and clerical or teaching and training experience does not count.
- Check the reservation table before you pick a post. Each post has seats only for certain categories. For example, Manager – Digital Fraud has no OBC seat, and Senior Manager – Business Finance has no ST seat.
- These are regular posts with 12 months of probation (a trial period) and a service bond, and you can be posted anywhere in India. The notification says only candidates willing to serve anywhere in India should apply.
- If you work in a government office, a PSU or a bank, you will need a No Objection Certificate from your employer at the time of interview.
Selection Process
| Stage | Details |
|---|---|
| 1. Application scrutiny | The bank checks your form and documents against the post’s conditions. It may shortlist on qualifications, relevant experience, domain expertise, skills and suitability. These shortlisting criteria are kept confidential, and meeting the minimum conditions does not guarantee an interview call. |
| 2. Online test and/or psychometric test (if held) | The bank may hold an online test, a psychometric test (an assessment of personality, communication and problem-solving) or another test. If a written test is held, you must score the minimum in each section and in total. If two candidates tie at the cut-off, the older one is ranked higher. The notification gives no test pattern or date. |
| 3. Group discussion and/or personal interview (PI) | One round or several. The interview looks at personality, communication, problem-solving, suitability for the post and your willingness to work anywhere in the country. The minimum qualifying marks in the PI are 60% for General and EWS candidates and 55% for other reserved categories, and the bank can change them. |
| 4. Final merit list and document check | Only candidates who qualify in the PI are considered for the final merit list. Marks from earlier stages are dropped for anyone who fails the PI. You must show original documents with a self-attested photocopy. The bank may also consider you for another post if you meet its conditions. |
In short, the interview is the stage you cannot skip. As an SC, ST or OBC candidate you need at least 55% in it, and your earlier marks do not count if you fall short. The bank has not said whether an online test will be held.
Salary and Benefits
| Component | Detail |
|---|---|
| Pay Scale – MMG/S-II (Manager – Digital Fraud) | Rs 64,820 – 2,340 (1 stage) – 67,160 – 2,680 (10 stages) – 93,960 |
| Pay Scale – MMG/S-III (six Senior Manager posts) | Rs 85,920 – 2,680 (5 stages) – 99,320 – 2,980 (2 stages) – 1,05,280 |
| Pay Scale – SMG/S-IV (Chief Manager – Internal Controls) | Rs 1,02,300 – 2,980 (4 stages) – 1,14,220 – 3,360 (2 stages) – 1,20,940 |
| Allowances and Benefits | Salary and other pay follow the industry-level bipartite settlement and the Joint Note for bank officers. You also get allowances and benefits under the bank’s policies. The notification does not list them one by one. |
| Probation | 12 months of active service from the date of joining |
| Service Bond | You must serve at least 3 years after joining, or pay three months’ gross salary (capped at Rs 3 lakh) if you leave earlier. The bank can revise the bond terms, and they will be stated in your offer letter. |
| Employment Contract | The selected candidate signs an employment contract |
In plain terms, you start at Rs 64,820 a month as Manager, Rs 85,920 as Senior Manager or Rs 1,02,300 as Chief Manager, all before allowances. A “stage” is one step up in the pay scale. The notification does not give a take-home figure.

Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Apply for one post only. If you submit more than one application, only the last complete one is kept and the fees paid on the others are lost.
- Choose your category with care. It cannot be changed after you register, and your result is processed on the category you picked.
- Pay the fee online by 17.11.2026. An application without a successful payment is not valid, and a failed payment means you must register again.
- Spell your name exactly as it appears on your certificates and marksheets. Nothing can be changed after you click Submit.
- Keep your email ID and mobile number active. The bank sends call letters only to the registered email, and posts all updates and corrections on its website.
- Upload each document in the size and format the form asks for. Documents must be PDFs under 500 KB, the photo 20 to 50 KB and the signature 10 to 20 KB.
