Permanent Residence
Must be a citizen of India and an inhabitant of Arunachal Pradesh holding a valid Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) issued by the designated competent authority.
Indigenous Status
Must hold an Arunachal Pradesh Scheduled Tribe (APST) Certificate issued by the competent authority, as per the Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) Order, 1950.
Tribal Language Proficiency

One paper on the Concerned Subject, 200 marks, objective type; the syllabus is the same as the concerned subject of the Written Examination. This is a screening test only — marks scored here are not counted towards the final order of merit. Stage 2 — Written Examination (500 marks)
Four components as per the Scheme of Examination: General English and General Studies (Objective) — 150 marks; Concerned Subject Paper-I (Descriptive) — 150 marks; Concerned Subject Paper-II (Descriptive) — 150 marks; Viva-voce — 50 marks. Total 500 marks. Conducted at the Itanagar Capital Region.
Stage 3 — Qualifying Marks for Viva-voce
A candidate must score an aggregate of 33% of the total marks in the written examination and at least 20% in each paper/subject. For PwBD candidates the requirement is an aggregate of 20% and at least 10% in each paper/subject.
Stage 4 — Viva-voce / Interview (50 marks)
About 3 times the number of advertised vacancies (post/category-wise as applicable), or as decided by the Commission depending on the availability of qualified candidates, are invited — subject to securing the minimum qualifying marks above.
Stage 5 — Document Verification
All required documents must be produced in original at document verification, scheduled on or before the date of the interview/viva-voce, failing which the candidate is not allowed to appear. The indenting department conducts the medical test and verifies character and antecedents before final appointment.
