Preference Order – Rules You Must Follow
| Rule | Detail |
|---|---|
| When and how | At the time of the interview, in the format prescribed by the Commission, written in the candidate own handwriting |
| Scope | Only for the posts and services shown in Advt. No. 82/2024-25 – the 10 posts listed in the table above |
| Changes after submission | None. Once given, the preference order is treated as final. No change, correction, addition or re-ordering request will be accepted under any circumstances |
| If you leave posts out | A candidate who gives no preference at all, or gives preference for only some posts and does not become eligible for those, will be allotted a post only from what remains after allotment is completed for candidates who gave preferences for all posts and services |
| Prepare in advance | Study the number of vacancies shown for each post and service in the advertisement carefully before the interview day. The Commission important notice dated 01.03.2025 (linked below) is the reference document |
Documents to Carry
| Document | Format / Notes |
|---|---|
| Interview Call Letter | Printed copy – mandatory, no entry without it |
| Annexure (Parishisht) | Printed copy – downloaded together with the call letter, also mandatory |
| All certificates shown as applicable in the annexure | Originals, plus one self-attested photocopy of each |
The notice itself does not itemise the certificates; it requires all applicable certificates shown in your annexure. Read your own annexure carefully, since the list varies by post and category.
What This Means for You
- If your E-Number falls in the Phase-5 Detailed Interview Programme (E-0767 to E-1052), you are in this phase and should download your call letter now.
- The download window closes at 11:00 AM on 19.09.2026, which is the last interview day itself – do not leave it to the end.
- Attending on the date and time allotted to you is compulsory. The notice states that candidates called in a phase will not be carried into any later phase.
- Decide your full preference order for all 10 posts and services before you reach the venue, because it cannot be changed once submitted.
- No action is needed from candidates who are not listed in the Phase-5 programme.

Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Leaving the download to 19.09.2026 – the window shuts at 11:00 AM that day, by which time most interviews are already over.
- Printing only the call letter and not the annexure, when both are mandatory for entry.
- Carrying original certificates without the one self-attested photocopy of each that the notice requires.
- Giving preference for only a few posts, which pushes you into the leftover pool if you do not qualify for them.
- Assuming the preference order can be corrected later – the notice rules out any change in any circumstance.
- Missing your allotted slot in the hope of being adjusted into a later phase, which the notice does not allow.
