Candidates are shortlisted for the Personal Interview in the ratio of 1:5, that is 5 candidates for each advertised vacancy. Where there is a single vacancy, 10 candidates are shortlisted. Marks for shortlisting: 1 mark for each completed year of relevant experience beyond the minimum requirement (and 1/365 mark for each additional day of an incomplete year), plus 1 mark for every additional degree above the minimum essential qualification in the same discipline, subject to a maximum of 2 marks. HCL may insert additional criteria if required.
Stage 2 — Written Screening Test (only if held)
HCL reserves the right to conduct a written screening test to shortlist candidates for the Personal Interview, as per requirement. This is not a confirmed stage — the notification lists it as an option HCL may exercise.
Stage 3 — Personal Interview
The selection is made purely on performance in the Personal Interview, which carries 100 percent weightage. Intimation is sent by e-mail and a call letter is issued to shortlisted candidates. Once the date, time and venue are communicated, no request for a change will be entertained. If fewer than five applications are received for a post, the Selection Committee assesses and states the suitability of the candidates interviewed.
Stage 4 — Document Verification
Held at the interview venue. Original documents must be produced along with self-attested copies and a signed hard copy of the online application. Non-production of originals will debar a candidate from appearing for the interview. One original photo ID (Aadhaar, Driving Licence or Voter ID) is compulsory.
Stage 5 — Medical Fitness
Appointment is subject to the candidate being found medically fit by the medical authority prescribed by HCL management.

Tenure of Engagement

Interview Travel Reimbursement

Register on the portal and fill in every required field. Enter the exact percentage of marks — do not round off. Upload at least two salary-proof documents for each employment declared.
Pay the application processing fee of ₹500 (General and OBC only) through the payment gateway or NEFT online transfer on the HCL website. SC and PwBD candidates are exempted.
Submit the application, then print the computer-generated online application and the acknowledgement slip and keep a copy for your records. Carry the signed hard copy of the application to the interview.
