Selection Process
| Stage | Details |
|---|---|
| Stage 1: Shortlisting on PET-2025 score | Candidates are shortlisted for the Main Written Examination purely on the basis of their normalized PET-2025 score, in merit order. Category-wise, 15 times the number of advertised vacancies are shortlisted, including every candidate holding the normalized score up to the last cut-off (taken to 2 decimal places). Candidates whose absolute or normalized PET-2025 score is zero, below zero or negative are not shortlisted. This stage is qualifying only, and the PET score does not carry forward into the final merit. |
| Stage 2: Main Written Examination | Final selection is made on the basis of the Main Written Examination alone. The interview stage has been abolished under the Uttar Pradesh Direct Recruitment to Subordinate Posts (Discontinuation of Interview) Rules, 2017. The examination scheme, syllabus and exam date will be notified separately by the Commission. If the exam is conducted in more than one shift or on more than one day, scores are normalized as per Important Notice No. 42/05/Vigyapan Anu (Gyarah)/2019 dated 22.05.2019. Shortlisted candidates must pay the Main Examination fee separately before downloading their admit card. |
| Stage 3: Document Verification and Post Allotment | Candidates qualifying the written examination are called for scrutiny and verification of records. At this stage each candidate must submit a preference order of posts. The Commission allots posts on the basis of the stated preference while taking into account post availability, merit, and the educational qualification and age criteria of each post. The Commission’s decision on allotment is final. |

Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not apply if you did not appear in PET-2025, because a valid PET-2025 score card is the only way to log in and there is no alternative route into this Main Examination.
- Do not assume a low PET score still gets you through, as candidates whose absolute or normalized PET-2025 score is zero, below zero or negative are excluded from shortlisting outright.
- Do not forget to tick the post or posts you want, because any post you leave unselected will not be considered for you even if you meet its eligibility in full.
- Do not stop at paying the fee. If the application form does not appear afterwards, reconcile the transaction through the Double Verification option by 05.10.2026 or your form will never be finally submitted.
- Do not claim reservation if you are not an original resident of Uttar Pradesh, as such candidates are treated as Unreserved and a wrong category claim can get your candidature cancelled.
- Do not plan on correcting anything after 05.10.2026, because after that date no modification is possible and the Commission accepts no representation for error correction.
