Educational Qualification

Domicile
Open to citizens of India. Reservation benefits (SC, ST, OBC, EWS) are available only to candidates who are original residents of Uttar Pradesh — candidates from outside UP are treated as Unreserved.

Candidates are shortlisted for the Main Examination purely on merit of their normalised PET 2025 score. Category-wise, 15 times the number of advertised posts are shortlisted, including every candidate holding the normalised score at the final cut-off (calculated to two decimal places). Candidates with a zero or negative actual or normalised score are not shortlisted. This stage is qualifying only — PET marks do not carry into the final merit.
Stage 2 — Main Written Examination
One objective, multiple-choice question paper of 100 questions and 100 marks, duration 2 hours (120 minutes). Each question carries 1 mark. Negative marking applies: 25% (one-fourth) of the marks for that question is deducted for every wrong answer. Sections: Part-1 — Rural Development subject knowledge (50 Q / 50 marks) and Analytical Ability and Data Interpretation (15 Q / 15 marks); Part-2 — Computer and Information Technology (15 Q / 15 marks); Part-3 — General information about Uttar Pradesh (20 Q / 20 marks). If the exam is held in more than one shift or on more than one day, scores are normalised as per the Commission’s notice No. 42/05/Vigyapan Anu (Gyarah)/2019 dated 22.05.2019. The exam date will be announced separately.
Stage 3 — Document verification and final merit
Final selection is made on the basis of the written examination, as per the UP Group-C Posts (Direct Recruitment Procedure) Rules 2015 and the UP Subordinate Posts Direct Recruitment (Discontinuation of Interview) Rules 2017 — there is no interview. Candidates must give their post-preference at the time of document verification; the Commission allots posts considering availability, merit, qualification and age, and its decision is final. Provisional admission to the written exam does not confer eligibility — candidature is cancelled at any stage if information is found false or the qualification was not held by the last date.

Log in through Applicant Authentication / Login using your PET 2025 Registration Number — an OTP is sent to the mobile number and email registered against that PET registration.
Your personal details, photograph and signature are pulled automatically from PET 2025 and cannot be edited. Select the post or posts you wish to apply for, and for each one enter the board / institute / university name, year of passing, certificate or roll number, certificate issue date and marks.
Fill in the other details and declaration, enter the verification code, click Save and Submit, then pay the Rs 25 online processing fee by Credit Card, Debit Card, Internet Banking, UPI, or SBI e-Challan at an SBI branch.
Once the fee is successfully reconciled the form submits automatically and an 11-digit registration number is generated. Download and print the application form and keep it safe. Corrections are allowed until 12.10.2026 through the Applicant’s Dashboard.
Note: Applications sent by any other route are not accepted — online is the only mode. No application or fee is accepted after 05.10.2026, and the printout of the application form cannot be taken until the bank has reconciled your fee.
