Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not skip the One Time Registration (OTR) — the application form cannot be opened without completing it first.
- Category, sub-category, date of birth and gender cannot be changed once the form is finally submitted, so check every entry before hitting submit.
- Filling the school preference option is compulsory and it cannot be changed after the last date — decide before you submit, not afterwards.
- Upload the photograph and signature in exactly the prescribed size and pixel dimensions; a wrong-size upload or an unaccepted declaration gets the application rejected outright.
- The date of birth on your High School certificate is the only one accepted — no other document will be considered for age.
- Candidates from outside Uttar Pradesh do not get reserved-category relaxation and are treated as General, so do not claim a relaxation you are not entitled to.
- Remember the negative marking of −1 for every wrong answer — blind guessing costs marks in a 360-mark paper.
- The fee is non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another application, so complete the form correctly the first time.
