Not sure whether you are within the age limit?
Enter your date of birth, use 13.11.2026 as the cut-off date and add your category relaxation to see at once whether you fall inside the 18 to 35 year band.

Who Should Apply

  • Technician-B is the big door: 46 of the 61 posts, and Electronics Mechanic alone has 24. You need an ITI, NTC or NAC in one of the 8 listed trades.
  • Driver posts need years on the road, counted only from the date you got your licence. The experience certificate must come from a government body, registered company, society or trust, not from a person.
  • 29 of the 61 posts are for ex-servicemen. If not enough suitable ex-servicemen are found for the backlog posts, those posts go to other candidates of the category they were kept for.
  • The main job location is Bengaluru, with 5 posts at the Hassan Master Control Facility. You can be posted to any ISRO or Department of Space unit in India, and you must work round-the-clock shifts.
  • Do not apply if your final ITI or 10th result is still pending. The advertisement says only candidates who have already passed can apply.

Selection Process

StageDetails
Stage 1: ScreeningISRO checks your marks and other details first. Only screened-in candidates get a written test call.
Stage 2: Written Test (Technician-B)80 multiple-choice questions in 1.5 hours. +1 for a right answer, -0.33 for a wrong one.
Pass Marks (Technician-B)32 out of 80. Reserved candidates need 24, only where the post is reserved for them.
Stage 2: Written Test (Drivers)100 multiple-choice questions in 2 hours. +1 for a right answer, -0.25 for a wrong one.
Pass Marks (Drivers)50% in Part A, and 50% in Parts B, C and D together. Reserved candidates get 25% relaxation where the post is reserved.
Called for Skill TestTechnician-B: 1:5 ratio (5 candidates per post), at least 10. Drivers: 1:10 ratio (10 per post).
Tie-breakTechnician-B: valid NAC marks get preference. Drivers: marks of the notified qualification.
Stage 3: Skill Test (Technician-B)Curriculum-based skill test, 100 marks, qualifying only. Pass marks are 50, or 40 for reserved candidates.
Stage 3: Skill Test (Drivers)Driving test, 100 marks, qualifying only. Pass marks are 60 for everyone, with no relaxation.
Place and DocumentsWritten test in Bengaluru or other cities; skill test in Bengaluru only. Documents are checked at the skill test.

In short: you clear a written test first, then a skill test in Bengaluru. The skill test is only pass-or-fail, so the written test decides who gets called for it. Just meeting the minimum qualification does not guarantee a call.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Check your age, trade certificate and driving experience against 13.11.2026. ISRO can cancel your candidacy at any stage if something does not match.
  • You cannot edit the form after you submit it. If you apply again, only the latest application with the fee paid counts, so avoid sending several forms for the same post.
  • Type your email ID carefully. All call letters go there, and ISRO will not change an email ID or exam centre later.
  • Drivers: part-time experience is not counted, and a certificate signed by a person is rejected. Experience counts only after you got your licence.
  • Upload a clear photo and signature. A form without the required documents is invalid, and an unclear photo can lead to cancellation.
  • If you work in a government body or public sector unit, tell your employer and keep the NOC ready. Without the original NOC you cannot sit the skill test.
